Minissha Lamba born on 18 January 1979 is an Indian actress who appears in Bollywood films. She has appeared in Yahaan, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Kidnap and Well Done Abba.Minissha was born in a Jat family in Delhi.Her father was in the hospitality business and this gave her the opportunity to travel around the country and meet many people. She can fluently converse in Hindi, Punjabi, English and French.Lamba's long term ambition was to become a journalist. While studying for a degree in Delhi, Lamba pursued modelling as a hobby and soon became a well-placed model in the Indian modelling industry. Lamba's early modelling work includes several television commercials for companies such as LG, Sony, Titan watches, Cadbury, Hajmola, Airtel, Sunsilk, among others. She has also done a music video Tera Suroor for the hit music album Aap Ka Suroor by Himesh Reshammiya.Her first movie "Yahaan", which was directed by Shoojit Sircar, was released in 2005. Critics praised the movie citing Lamba's performance as one of the highlights. In 2008, she acted in Siddharth Anand's film Bachna Ae Haseeno which also starred Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead roles. This movie was produced by Yashraj Films. Her next major role was in the Shyam Benegal film Well Done Abba 2010, which was highly acclaimed at the Cannes Film Festival.
